Blue and white checked wool suit comprising a fitted jacket with a notched hem, and a full and stiffened skirt. With blue silk grosgrain bows.
This chic two-piece and its attractive owner received many approving remarks and envious glances at Ascot. Wedge-soled sandals and a wide-brimmed hat trimmed with a perky bunch of red cherries completed the ensemble. The fitted jacket with a tiny waist has edgings, buttons and a tailored bow in navy grosgrain. The hem is notched to accommodate the curve of the hips. The full, stiffened skirt has wide pleats which fall from a deep yoke.
